Google: integrate carbon pricing into your search engine

Let’s demand for Google and other tech companies to integrate carbon pricing or emissions trackers into all their relevant online services, particularly their search engines. More Americans than ever are online, and search engines are a top way we access information of all kinds.

But if Google won’t do it, we can catalyze third-party entities to do it. They could, for example, create a web browser plug-in that shows carbon pricing for all products that people search for online.

By taking advantage of this feature of modern life, we can make awareness of the sources and costs of carbon pollution—and what to do about it—core to our daily choices.
